We spent three nights at the hotel as we wanted to explore Edinburgh. The hotel is well situated to explore the sights, with the additional benefits of excellent transport links via local buses and trams. The staff are very friendly and helpful which is always an important factor for us. Our room was clean, but a bit snug for those who like space. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well.

The location is excellent, and the rooms were comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. My only complaint was that our room wasn't cleaned one day. I informed the front desk, and they said the cleaning staff said the rooms weren't cleaned because the "Do Not Disturb" lights were on. Although they were on earlier in the morning, they were turned off no later than 11 am. If there is some cut off time to turn off the "Do Not Disturb" sign, customers should be so informed.
